LEON FOUNDATION
About Us
At the Leon Foundation, our mission is to reduce any barriers preventing young individuals across America from accessing crucial mental health support.
We are dedicated to improving therapy accessibility for youth by raising funds to provide the gift of therapy through sponsorship, raising awareness, and advocating for systemic change. We believe that every young person should have the opportunity to access quality therapy, regardless of their background, financial status, or location. We work diligently to eliminate the financial and logistical obstacles that hinder their path to mental well-being.
Beyond our therapy sponsorship, our commitment extends to education and outreach programs. We empower youth and provide them with knowledge and resources, equipping them to them to seek help and support themselves and their peers. Together, we are working towards a future where therapy is not a luxury but a fundamental right for every young person in America, where they can seek help with confidence and not hesitation, and the mental health of our youth is prioritized.

IN LOVING MEMORY

LEON BROUSSARD IV
AUGUST 31, 2004 ~ FEBRUARY 26, 2020
THE LEON FOUNDATION WAS BORN OUT OF LOVE, LOSS, AND A DEEP COMMITMENT TO ENSURING THAT NO YOUNG PERSON FACES THE CHALLENGES OF MENTAL HEALTH ALONE. OUR ORGANIZATION IS NAMED IN HONOR OF LEON BROUSSARD IV, A CHERISHED SOUL WHO LEFT US IN 2020 AFTER A COURAGEOUS BATTLE WITH MENTAL HEALTH.
LEON WAS BORN IN 2004 IN LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA. HE WAS A BRIGHT SPIRIT, FULL OF DREAMS AND ENDLESS POTENTIAL. AT A YOUNG AGE, LEON EXPRESSED A LOVE FOR THE ARTS. HE SPENT MOST OF HIS FREE TIME DRAWING OR FABRICATING FULL-SCALE COSTUMES, MUCH LIKE HIS IDOL TONY STARK. LEON’S TALENTS LANDED HIM IN A SPECIALIZED HIGH SCHOOL FOR THE ARTS WHERE HE EXCELLED IN NEARLY EVERY SUBJECT.
HOWEVER, HIS JOURNEY WAS MARKED BY THE SILENT STRUGGLES THAT SO MANY YOUNG INDIVIDUALS FACE, OFTEN HIDDEN BEHIND SMILES AND SEEMINGLY ORDINARY DAYS. DESPITE HIS OUTWARD SUCCESSES, LEON’S INTERNAL BATTLES WERE MORE THAN HE COULD HANDLE AND HE SADLY DEPARTED IN FEBRUARY OF 2020 AT THE AGE OF 15.
HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS MOTHER, FATHER, AND FOUR SIBLINGS. HIS TRAGIC LOSS SERVES AS A POIGNANT REMINDER THAT THE COMPLEXITIES OF MENTAL HEALTH CAN AFFECT ANYONE, REGARDLESS OF THEIR ACHIEVEMENTS, PERCEIVED WELL-BEING, AGE, OR BACKGROUND.

THE TEAM

JORDAN OZUNA
FOUNDERFounder of The Leon Foundation, Jordan is an accomplished model and an advocate for mental health, drawing strength from her journey with mental health challenges. Through her lived experiences, she has gained a profound understanding of the complexities and hardships faced by children grappling with mental health issues, allowing her to connect on a deeper level and drive change with empathy. Wanting to make a difference, Jordan Ozuna transformed her hardships into a catalyst for change.
Recognizing the critical need for accessible mental health support for children, she embarked on a mission to establish The Leon Foundation, dedicated to removing barriers to mental healthcare for children.

JACQUELINE BROUSSARD
CHAIRMANAs the Chairman of the Leon Foundation, Jackie is dedicated to our mission of providing essential mental health resources for youth. This mission is deeply personal to her. In February 2020, her little brother lost his life after struggling with mental health, propelling her into a mission to advocate for change and eliminate the stigma surrounding mental and emotional well-being.
In 2021, she made a bold decision to depart from her corporate career and embrace a new path as a Yoga practitioner. Yoga became a lifeline for her, offering solace and tools to navigate the profound challenges of loss. Her journey led her to rediscover her connection with herself and ignited a passion to be of service to others. Separate from her role at the Leon Foundation, she has devoted her private efforts to sharing the gift of Yoga, a personal endeavor that reflects her belief in the transformative power of mindful practices that are so valuable and very much needed in the world today.
Through the Leon Foundation, her goal is to extend this commitment to the well-being of young individuals. She strives to remove barriers, raise awareness, and create a future where mental health is prioritized and accessible for every young person.

ANDREA CROWE
CHAIRMANAs an educator, helping to advocate for proper mental health resources for youth has been a long-term goal for Andrea. After graduating with a BA in Child Development, Andrea has worked with children of all ages, in and outside of the classroom. Between her career, being a mother, and her own mental health struggles as an adolescent, she has seen in real-time how necessary genuine psychological and emotional support is for children.
She is excited to be a part of the Leon Foundation and to continue the effort to provide equality within the mental health community for the youth of America.
